The month of October is Scouting’s opportunity

to remind our neighbors how a Scout is Thrifty.

The Boy Scout handbook defines a Thrifty Scout as

"one who works to pay his own way, helps others and saves for the future”.

The annual popcorn sale, a unit fundraiser, sponsored by the council,

is an opportunity for every Scout in the council to:

• Earn money to pay his way to camp

• Learn effective techniques of salesmanship

• Learn personal finance management

• Help raise funds for the program of their unit

• Help support the Cradle of Liberty Council Camps and programs
